What a business website costs in 2026
A one-page site, a five-page business site and an online store are different jobs. Compare what is included—not only the page count.
01
What current public offers show
Current published vendor offers place focused custom builds roughly around US$1,200–US$2,000, broader business sites around US$2,000–US$5,500, and more connected or higher-direction work around US$5,000–US$6,500+. These are examples, not a universal market average.
- Upwork publishes a US$1,500–US$5,000 range for business website design.
- Launch Day Studio publishes a US$2,997 fixed offer with a 50% start payment and balance at launch.
- Rebar Creative publishes US$1,200, US$2,000, US$4,500 and US$6,500 tiers.
- The Lemonade Stand publishes €1,500, €3,000 and €5,500 tiers.
02
What changes the price
- How much strategy and message definition is still unresolved.
- Number and variety of page templates—not just raw page count.
- Original art direction, motion and responsive states.
- Copy, proof collection, photography or asset production.
- Store, booking, CRM, membership, payment or API connections.
- CMS complexity, migration and multilingual requirements.
- Accessibility, compliance, testing and launch risk.
- Decision speed, stakeholder count and correction rounds.

SP Studios’ current ladder
- US$350 Website Direction Sprint: a paid three-business-day planning result, useful on its own.
- US$1,500+ Focused Launch: one to three purposeful pages with a tightly bounded result.
- US$3,000+ Complete Business Website: up to five custom pages and the core customer journey.
- US$5,000+ Signature Experience + Integration: deeper story plus one agreed connection.
- US$6,500+ International Launch System: broader launch-critical work across content, experience, integration and QA.
04
How milestones should work
For a clearly bounded project through US$5,000, 50% to reserve production and 50% after staging approval is understandable when both gates are written. Larger work may use more milestones. The schedule must always add to 100% and name what unlocks each payment.
- No production payment before the scope is accepted.
- No payment request that does not match the accepted amount and currency.
- No “paid” status based on a screenshot or browser return page.
- No final launch or ownership release before the agreed final clearance.
05
What to require before paying
- Exact deliverables and exclusions.
- Realistic timing and dependencies.
- Correction rounds and change control.
- A named legal/payee identity and invoice reference.
- A private provider-hosted or approved platform route.
- Refund, cancellation, ownership and handover treatment.
