How to pay for a restaurant ordering website safely
Pay when the restaurant-specific work, amount, protection and next result all match—not because a proposal looks polished.
01
Read the restaurant-specific scope
- Correct restaurant and studio identity.
- Exact customer screens and restaurant workflow.
- Named provider connections and exclusions.
- Restaurant inputs, approvals and fulfilment duties.
- Schedule, tax, third-party costs and payment stages.
02
Pay by agreed stages
Each payment should unlock one named result and approval point. The accepted proposal controls the exact schedule.
- No production payment before written acceptance.
- No next-stage work while the current result is unresolved.
- No launch or ownership release before final clearance.
03
Verify the payee and payment route
Check the amount, currency, tax, contracting identity, invoice reference and approved provider. SP Studios does not use a restaurant’s food-order payment account to collect studio fees.
04
Understand cancellation and refunds
A fair calculation separates unstarted work, completed work and approved third-party costs. Read the current terms and refund page before accepting the scope.
05
Keep restaurant accounts under restaurant control
The restaurant-approved domain, merchant account and primary business accounts should remain under restaurant-controlled access. Provider KYC, fees and settlement rules still apply.
06
Release launch and ownership correctly
The handover should identify the launch state, credentials, client-specific deliverables, reusable studio systems, third-party licences, care start date and any remaining responsibilities.
